The Parks Half Marathon is a major annual fundraising event, enabling runners of all ages to participate from across the world. The half marathon is normally hosted on the 14th of October and raises sustainable funds to support London’s eight Royal Parks, whilst allowing charities of all sizes to be involved in a major challenge event. In the decade since it began, runners from all over the world have raised a staggering £30 million for more than 750 charities and has become a ‘must do’ race for many runners. The stunning 13.1 mile route takes you around famous landmarks in London on closed roads, such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall. It also passes through four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens. Make sure not to miss out and book to stay at the Mercure Hyde Park Hotel, located minutes away from the event.
