Winter Wonderland – “London’s biggest festive extravaganza” (Marie Claire) – returns to Hyde Park this November! The launch event is at 4pm on 21st November, and Winter Wonderland then throws its doors open every day from 22nd November to 5th January 2020 (except Christmas Day itself), 10am to 10pm.
Originally created over 10 years ago as a humble open-air Christmas market, this festive stalwart has grown year on year to become one of the most loved and anticipated events in London’s Christmas calendar! With over 100 incredible rides and attractions, there’s something for everyone in this idyllic wintery world: thrilling shows, London’s largest Christmas Market, Santa Land, a whole area for little explorers, and a multitude of cafes and themed bars.
This year’s highlights include the UK’s largest outdoor Ice Rink, the Magical Ice Kingdom, spectacular views on the Giant Observation Wheel – the tallest transportable wheel in the world – and festive cocktails at Bar Ice. If you’re after something interactive, try an Ice Sculpting Workshop or perhaps head to Bar Hütte for karaoke; or, for entertainment, watch jaw-dropping acts in the Circus MegaDome or join Paddington in his new adventure Paddington on Ice.
Winter Wonderland remains free to enter, and with such a plethora of wintery treats on offer, it’s not hard to see why it attracts thousands of visitors each year. For families, mornings are your best time to explore, as it tends to be quieter; or for party-goers, make sure to catch Winter Wonderland at night, when the park is transformed by thousands of sparkling lights.
Located just a stone’s throw from Winter Wonderland, this joyous festival is an absolute must when you stay with us at the Mercure London Hyde Park this festive season!
